"The ***** is an exciting patented product, specifically purposed as an integrated marketing conduit that delivers voluminous, compartmentalized information in a way that improves a recipient's ability to understand, absorb, and act upon your messages."
OK, so I was going through some web sites and came across this description of a new product. Read it a couple of times and see if you have any better idea of what they do then I did when I saw it. I'm hiding the company on purpose, but I went to their web site and honestly, don't see how this description really matches what they do. Now, what they do seems pretty cool and if they would've described it in more normal language, I might have been intrigued enough to click on the products for a better reason.
But we feel so compelled to use jargon-speak as much as possible, that it sometimes makes it hard to figure out what a company actually does. If you have a good product. Just tell people what you do!
http://advertising.meetup.com/99/members/4363471/ here's the original post. It's a product called ikyp. This looks pretty sad - it's very pre-www, yet by branding themselves with a web 2.0 style oddly spelled name they claim to be innovative. This is just sad.
