Although I prefer Jack In The Box, I love that White Castle does this every year. It's just a cool idea that I'm sure really speaks to its target audience.
WHITE CASTLE RESTAURANTS ARE OFFERING reserved seating for candlelight dining on Thursday, Valentine's Day, from 5 to 8 p.m."Not only can cravers dine with candlelight, but the tables will be adorned with decorations and customers will be presented with a special menu and will receive table side service," the company said in a release.

Is this a quirky ploy or are we supposed to be taking this off brand campaign seriously?

Jon: I think they've actually done this for a number of years. My understanding from people who are White Castle fans is that this is not off target for them and it actually turns into a very fun evening. I think if they tried to do this more often, it would be off target, but for Valentine's Day, I like it!

I think it's a great 'quirky' idea.
My wife would kill me if I took her there but lets face it how busy would they be on Feb 14th evening otherwise.
Cute way to counter-compete.
Cheers,
